“Not the snout!” |
— Mottrot throughout the series. |
Mottrot is a Legends of Chima minifigure released in 2014 and a major antagonist in Season 3. He is the brother of Mungus and the son of Maula.
Biography[]
Mottrot is one of the smartest warriors in all of the Ice Hunter tribes, a master planner who has devised incredibly effective battle strategies. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get much credit for his brains. He is short, and among Mammoths that means you aren’t respected. And his mother, Maula, dotes on his huge, dumb brother Mungus. She gives Mungus the credit for all of Mottrot’s great ideas. Mottrot doesn’t object, because he doesn’t want to get his Mom angry at him. Mottrot can’t even get a little comfort when he gets hurt in battle. Maula will usually just blame him for being clumsy.[1]
Eventually, after Flinx was transformed into the ninth phoenix, he cured Mottrot and Mungus offscreen.[2]
Legends of Chima: Character Encyclopedia[]
Runt of the Pack[]
Constantly overshadowed by his brother, Mungus, Mottrot is ofter ignored by the Hunter Tribes- even though is he one of the most intelligent and insightful creatures around. Wjat he lacks in size and power, he make up for in accelerated intelligence.
Unfair Treatment[]
In the Mammoth Tribe, size and strenght are more important than intelligence. But Mottrot doesn't complain- even when his great ideas are unfairly attributed to Mungus. He's too busy seeking attention and affection from his mother.
Oversized[]
Mottror's double-ended spear has two giant tusks. As Mammoth weapons are often built for someone of Mungus's size, this spear is almost too big for Mottrot to handle.
Physical Description[]
Mottrot is a light yellow mammoth with white tusks, brown hand, with glowing blue eyes, left arm and right leg. He has visible muscles on his forhead, and visible bones on his chest and left leg. He wears a dark brown cloth and a golden belt.
